My first experience in Germany was absolutely incredible, But i’ll be honest, the first few hours were terrifying (keep in mind I was a very young 19 year old). It was my first time leaving the country, EVER, and our first stop was Berlin.
I remember stepping off the airplane, with my boyfriend Zakary and thinking, “where even am I.” The adrenline from sitting on a plane for LITERALLY hours, started to fade, and a new sense (I suppose a survival instinct) of being very VERY lost started to creep in on us.
After a long taxi ride to the hotel, we stumbled upon a nearby park. The sky was gloomy, we were jet lagged, and the weather matched the emotions we were feeling: grey and cranky.
What a combo, am I right.
After a much needed nights rest the fun had finally began!
