10 Unforgettable Places to See in Bocas del Toro

So you want to go to Bocas Del Toro in 2025?

I’ve been to a lot of beautiful beaches, but something about Bocas has to be one of the most beautiful places to enjoy beaches – Yours truly, a certified beach lover

Now let me start by saying: I am absolutely obsessed with traveling.

I am an addict when it comes to planning the perfect trip! You have to make sure you book the cheapest flight, secure the best hotel location, plan out the outfits for each day, AND know what you’re going to do when you get there.

So believe me when I tell you… I get it!

This past Summer my boyfriend and I decided that we were going to reward ourselves with a trip to Bocas Del Toro in Panama.

We  were wanting somewhere that was slow, relaxing, and had a beachy scene to it.

Bocas was an absolutely wonderful time, and honestly was a very relaxing and nature packed destination.  Which suited the travel needs we had. . .  If you are looking for more of an island hopping, forest exploring, snorkeling kind of destination you are going to the right place!

Anyways, enough yapping. One of the biggest things I pride myself on when going on trips, is how well thought out and organized I am.

So, here I am, offering my services to you for FREE!  Here are my  top 10 favorite things that we ended up doing and places we visited while in Bocas!

Top 10 Places to Visit While in Bocas Del Toro

  1. Starfish beach:
    • StarFish beach had to be my absolute favorite place we visited. The beach was full of the most beautiful starfish. If I am being honest, I was expecting there to be starfish but not to that extent! I would highly recommend bringing goggles too! The up close look is to die for.
  2. Bibi’s on The Beach
    • This restaurant was soooo good, and I mean so good. It’s off one of the small islands from Bocas, which only requires a short boat ride– probably 10 minutes max. I’m personally not a seafood girl, but I ended up getting the ceviche with a strawberry pina colada, and it was phenomenal.
  3. The Floating Bar
    • This is a must visit if you are going to Bocas Del Toro. It’s pretty much  exactly what it sounds like! A bar on the water. The food was good, the drinks were good, and the music was good.
  4. Red Frog Beach
    • If you are looking for more of a lazy day, sun bathing, sipping on the beach kind of vibe this is your spot. Red Frog Beach was a beautiful beach, but definitely more of a resort style of relaxation. There is a bar on this beach as well as the option to rent out lounge chairs. The day we ended up going, we were 1 of 4 people on that beach.
  5. Cafe Del Mar
    • Looking for a good place to get breakfast? This was one of my favorite breakfast places we ate at. I had the best pancakes alongside a pineapple smoothie. All of their ingredients are organic too!
  6. Isla Zapatillas
    • This island was Ideal for capturing the perfect instagram photo. The water was crystal clear and the weather was PERFECT. I felt like the ultimate beach girl.
  7. Bioluminescence Snorkeling
    • One thing I wish we would’ve done during our stay in Bocas would have been the Bioluminescence snorkeling! I have heard great things! Definitely worth the time to go.
  8. Simon Bolivar Park
    • On our way to Starfish beach we drove through Isla Colon and you MUST get a photo at the Bocas Del Toro Sign!
  9. Meren Pool Club
    • We ended up here after a long day at the beach, and it was a great place to get a few drinks and lounge by the pool.

And Finally!!!

What had to have been one of the most beautiful and homey hotels we have stayed in thus far:

Drumroll Please!!!

10. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay while in Bocas Del Toro, I would HIGHLY recommend Bambuda Bocas Town. The rooms are beautiful, as well as just the experience. The atmosphere is very welcoming and social, they have board games, live music, and an overall great experience if you are looking to get to know other travelers. If I were to go back I would definitely stay here again!

I hope this list helps you plan the ultimate Bocas del Toro trip! If you have any questions or want more travel guides like this, drop a comment or check out my other travel guides. Happy travels! ✈️
